The LabJams are a monthly celebration of jazz, community, and creativity, hosted at Melbourne’s premier jazz venue, The JazzLab. Designed to bring together musicians of all levels, this initiative invites everyone—whether you play or simply love jazz—to join in the fun.
The evening kicks off with a set by the house band, led by pianist Hue Blanes alongside Ben Hanlon on bass and Danny Fischer on drums. After that, the stage is yours. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instrument and a few standards, while non-musicians can enjoy the energy and spontaneity of live jazz in its purest form.
