In all her sunshiney glory, folk-pop-punk-poet Alana Wilkinson combines delicate melodies with disarmingly insightfulness about the human condition. A smiling assassin, her songs skewer ex-lovers, would-be suitors and ridiculous social norms in a merciless, yet strangely affectionate way. Benjamin Trillado is known for heart-wrenching lyrics and unapologetic candour. He combines the story-telling side of folk with the gritty angst of indie-rock.
