Presented by Crown Ruler and Slow Clap, curated by Gut Health.
Highly Contagious is a twilight musical mass in the heart of Melville Road for Brunswick Music Festival ‘24.
A new event served by Naarm’s operators in the outsider underground - Crown Ruler and Slow Clap - and curated by sonic explorers of hypnotic dance-punk Gut Health, Highly Contagious is a cutting-edge musical banquet from the vast corners of the global musical spectrum, ignited to new depths with an immersive sound and light experience.
Dishing up a veritable feast of globally acclaimed international talent, Highly Contagious features the long-awaited debut from one of post-punk’s most crucial voices Sneaks (USA), New Zealand electronic enigma Vanessa Worm, and Greece’s savage punk instigators, Frenzee. Alongside these heaters, DJs Lori and Cease and Desist (DJ Daddy) will elevate the event to euphoric levels with their fine selections.
Crown Ruler, Gut Health and Slow Clap acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people as the traditional owners of the land on which Highly Contagious will occur. We pay our respects to all First Nations elders past and present. Always was, always will be. From the river, to the sea.
