Gordie Mackeeman & His Rhythm Boys

Gordie MacKeeman is a natural showman. An ace fiddle player nicknamed “Crazy Legs” for his frenetic loose-limbed dancing. Combine that exuberance with the musicianship of his multi-instrumentalist comrades, His Rhythm Boys, and you have an unstoppable roots music force. Three albums have brought them impressive airplay and awards, though Gordie stresses live performance remains his true calling. The group is highly sought-after and regularly onstage at major festivals including Glastonbury, WOMAD and Woodford Folk Festival. It is the balance of traditional tunes and well-crafted originals that results in an eclectic signature sound, drawing on bluegrass, old time country, folk, rockabilly, swing and Celtic in genre-defying fashion.

With special guests to be announced in early February.

Presented by The Spotted Mallard.

“If you have ever seen Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys performance live, then you’re well aware that the show entails as much acrobatics as it does great music. From beginning to end, Gordie does not stop moving- no wonder the nickname “Crazylegs” has followed him around the world.”
