| ANGIE HART Singer-songwriter Angie Hart rose to fame with the Melbourne-based alt- pop band 'Frente' which formed in 1991, selling more than a million records worldwide and changing the face of pop music and radio formatting in Australia. Since those days she's performed in the bands Splendid and Holidays on Ice and performed her music on worldwide smash TV shows such as 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'. Angie's sophomore solo album, the recently released 'Eat My Shadow', was recorded with ARIA-Award winning producer Shane Nicholson and mixed by Nash Chambers. It has received unanimous critical acclaim from every corner, with The Age decrying: "Her writing has evolved into a seamless expression of wisdom and craft" and that "Hart's voice has never sounded so effortless". That voice remains one of the most singular in Australia, often-imitated but never bettered. She is joined on stage an amazing ensemble of musicians known as 'The Underground Orchestra'. Whilst her jazz foundations have served her well, she has now changed her sound to embody a mix of genres, from pop rock to subtle acoustic refrains teamed with programmed loops, intricate melodies and Kate's trademark soulful voice.
